What is Water Scarcity?
Water scarcity occurs when there is insufficient water supply to meet demand. This means the required water exceeds the amount of water that is available, leading to a lack of safe and clean water and insufficient water supplies.
There are two ways to categories water scarcity

Physical Water Scarcity
Physical Water Scarcity happens when there is not enough water in the environment this usually happens in areas where there is little rain fall causing drought. In these areas dams and rivers do not have enough water to meet the local needs of the population. This is a common issue for countries like Australia, Middle East and Africa.

Economic Water Scarcity
Economic water scarcity is when there is enough water available to meet demand but due to economic reasons the water is not reaching the people and places which need it.
This happens mainly in countries which suffer from poverty and economic issues
and are unable to supply clean water to the population. To supply clean water,
you need to have the correct Infrastructure which takes money and planning
which poorer countries are unable to supply.
